Fun fact, studies suggest office workers are typically only productive for about 5 hours a day, though that number can vary between 3 and 6 hours. Furthermore, a lot of studies suggest a 4 day work week (8 hour days) with no cut in pay increases productivity, happiness, and motivation and decreases stress. The 8 hour work week is a relic of an era where 8 hours was considered humane compared to the 10-16 hour work days that were the norm before worker's fought for reforms.

This meme was one of those ones where the first time I saw it I was like 'oh interesting, but I don't really do that' and it didn't dawn on me until later that I absolutely do that, I just don't recognize it because it's automatic. In some ways I think it's a weirdly backwards masking behavior. I lean into a typically autistic trait and pretend to completely miss social cues in ways that could ostensibly be attributed to other things, rather than showing my hand by picking up on social cues but not agreeing with them or not being confident enough in my interpretations to avoid awkward mis-reads.
