Dear Nauticus customers,
Re-enabling withdrawals from Nauticus
Subsequent to our recent breach incident from our vendor, we have completed a review of all customers and identified affected users who require special considerations.
We are happy to announce the withdrawal process and portals are now active, Nauticus will be providing a full return of funds to all our users. To facilitate this process, a separate withdrawal portal has been built to re-enable access to user’s balances. Each withdrawal will be processed manually to protect against unauthorized access.
Please follow the below steps to complete funds withdrawal:
1. Visit https://funds.nauticus.exchange/
2. Enter your Nauticus registered email address
3. Visit your mailbox for a verification link
4. You will be brought to a new page displaying your balances.
5. Your Nauticus account balance will be shown
6. Please input your desired withdrawal destination address and click “Submit”. For safety purposes, submitting withdrawal address is permanent, you cannot change the address once you have submitted.
7. For your reference, a no-reply confirmation email detailing your withdrawal request will be sent upon submission of the destination address, please check your inbox and spam folders. Standard withdrawal fees apply
8. Withdrawals requests undergo a review process and are processed during Australian business hours only
9. Once you have completed submission, a confirmation email detailing the withdrawal amount, asset, and address will be sent to you.
10. If you believe you have made any mistakes or the information is inaccurate relating to this portal, please contact compliance@nauticus.exchange. For all other inquiries please contact support@nauticus.exchange for assistance.
11. NOTE: NTS withdrawals are not yet available due to planned burn and restrictions to be applied. IEO customers may choose to a trade reversal for your IEO to be refunded.
We want to encourage everyone to re-evaluate your personal security measures as we have.
This includes changing all passwords on a regular basis - using complex combinations of 12 or more characters, enable two-factor authentication on every account you wish to be secured - avoid using SMS or email as the secondary authentication device, instead, use credible services such as Google Authenticator, Authy or Yubikey. This will dramatically reduce the success rate of SIM swapping or phishing attacks.
Be careful of spear-phishing attacks. Attackers may pose as a welcoming friend, recruiter or boss in disguise to encourage the downloading of malware.
Install endpoint monitoring software to detect malware where possible - such as CrowdStrike and Sophos.
Nauticus would like to thank all of our users during the outage period and look forward to assisting with any questions and withdrawals.
Kind regards,
Jonathan Chang, COO
