Ingress Prime in Kaltenberg😎
(No pics of the scanner were allowed)
The very first impression - a total confusion.
"How do I walk here?"
The new interface is flashy and shiny, and gives a futuristic high-techy feeling. Fields are three-dimensional and "floats" on top on the portals like shiny transparent tents. Agent name and level are in the top right corner. The XM bar is around it and changes it's color based on the XM level going to red when the XM level is low.
Some agents are going to love amazing animations. Others will probably hate it and search for a button to turn them off. It the current version this is not possible but the developer guy assured us that they "focus on the speed". Which brings the next question - what about the battery life? "They haven't optimized it yet". Oh well.
They also told us that they haven't focused on an "anomaly mode" yet and that it is not an easy task to "simulate a hundered of agentbot one portal". But they have successfully tested a link star already.
The controls and interface is done completely new. It will take a while to figure how to use it and how to walk. Thete are no tabs anymore. Action and inventory is acceptable through one button on the bottom middle.
Shortcuts are possible:
swipe top = attack menu;
swipe left = inventory menu.
Good news for the PoGo lovers - one finger controls of the map is now in ingess too!
All in all - I see that it could be fun to play with it, but it will require us to get used to it.
Opinions of agents who tried it on site split - some of them say "this is amazing" but the others say "I prefer the old version".
If you guys have any specific questions, send them in a comment or pm them to me, I will collect them and try to go and chat with the devs again.
