The reason for the unprecedented attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran is due to its increase in power; because the enemies have been terrified by this increasing power, they have accelerated their attacks. Despite all conspiracies, against the enemies’ will, the power of the Islamic establishment will accelerate day by day.

In response to the letter of Mr. Ismail Haniyeh— the leader of a Palestinian resistance and endeavoring group:

- No doubt, resistance is the only way to free an oppressed Palestine, and it’s the only cure for wounds on the body of that brave and proud nation.

- On days when escalation of oppression & barbarism by the Zionists, in Gaza, has saddened, made angry those who care for Palestine, we stress on the perpetual stance of the Islamic Republic, regarding the issue of Palestine; which is an important issue for the Islamic nation.

- Today the return of dignity and power to the Islamic nation is exclusively linked to resistance—while confronting arrogant powers and their wicked plots; and the issue of Palestine is at the top of Islam’s international issues in the face of the arrogant front.

- Moving towards negotiations with the deceptive, lying, and usurper regime is an unforgettable error that will impede the victory of the Palestinian nation, and it will not bear anything but detriment to that oppressed nation. The act of betrayal by some Arab heads of states— which is gradually being revealed— pursues the same goal.

No other country is as independent as Iran

• The revolution's main slogans and values involve independence, freedom, the rule of the people, national self-confidence, justice, above all realization of those values and application of religious laws. Our slogans have been preserved as fresh as early years of the revolution.

• In the world today, no country's independence equals to that of the Iranian nation. All nations of the world have some sort of compromise with major powers. The nation whose decisions are not influenced by any other nation is the Iranian nation.

• In our country, there exists freedom of thought, freedom of expression, and freedom of choice. No one with ideas and thoughts opposing the establishment is pressured, threatened, or persecuted by the establishment. However, freedom is observed within the framework of law and religion.

• During the year gone by, the Islamic Republic managed to raise the flag representing the Iranian nation's dignity and power in the region, which played a key role in defeating takfiri groups, bringing about security.

• The U.S. does not seek to create security in the region. They were in Afghanistan for 14 years. What on earth did they do there? Some say they didn't want to bring about security, others say they wanted to but failed.

• Our involvement in certain parts of the region was upon the request of those nations, we have taken measures based on logical and wise motives, rather than based on emotions. We did so without interfering with their domestic affairs or ordering them on what to do or not to do.

• The U.S.'s plot was to create and empower takfiri groups like ISIS, meant to send Muslim countries into a state of internal wars so that nations would forget about the Zionist regime. We managed to nullify that plot.

• Of issues regarding the region Middle East, the U.S. will, undoubtedly, fail to achieve its goals, and we will accomplish our intentions.

- The reason an 8-year war was imposed by Saddam's Ba'th regime was due to the splendor and dignity of the revolution. When the Islamic Revolution was created the splendor of this revolution petrified powerful global enemies of Iran.

- U.S. and EU major powers, like Britain, France, Italy and Germany, all backed Saddam and helped him in every possible way. At the beginning of the war, Saddam's army had limited equipment. Over time, despite being involved with the war, Saddam's equipment multiplied.

- The USSR—which was anti-US then—stood with the U.S. on the war against Iran because USSR had many Muslim republics and the Islamic Revolution would remind those republics of their Islamic Identity.

- France provided Saddam with the most advanced jets and helicopters. Germany provided his regime with the most poisonous chemicals to be used in the war. Those who attack some group over accusations of using chemicals, once openly provided Saddam with chemicals for making bombs.

If we ever want presence in U.S. then we'll come talk to you

- For 40 years enemies have plotted against Iran, spending billions to strike a blow to the IRI, but for 40 years this pure tree has been steadily growing, which makes us proud. There's never been so many plots against any nation, yet enemies haven't achieved even one of their goals!

- Just a few months ago they plotted, among their think-tanks, and set a plan and a time, estimating that the Islamic Republic would fall by the end of the year. You witnessed how the Iranian nation responded. Iranians are ready to respond to any invaders or any transgressor.

- Provoker of sedition and corruption, US gov. asks, why do you have a presence in the region? Well, do we have to ask for your permission to be in our region? We should talk with regional governments on that, why'd we talk with you? If we ever want presence in U.S. then we'll come talk to you.

- To EU states wanting to speak with Iran about our presence in region: We should talk with governments in region about our presence here. What does it have to do with you? Why are you here? This is our region. We talk with region's people and governments; we set plans together successfully and will keep progressing.

Hijab is a means of immunity not restriction: Ayatollah Khamenei

- In Islamic logic, there's a framework to define women's roles. An Islamic woman is the one who has faith and chastity and leads the most crucial section of human education. She influences the society, achieves scientific and spiritual growth: She is the director of the family's hub.

- In contrast, there has always been a deviant framework; today, that different model for women is the one offered by the west.

- Today, according to the western model, the most sought after characteristics of a woman involve her ability to physically attract men and appease them: one distinct image (portrayed in society) of the western woman is her nudity.

- By promoting modest dress (hijab), Islam has blocked the path which would lead women to such a deviant lifestyle. Hijab is a means of immunity not restriction.

- Today, in U.S., violence, moral corruption, collapse of family, children and next generations' have reached a level where US intellectuals insist on changing the content of movies, advertising, Hollywood cinema, etc... to that of 100 years ago with more moral aspects.
- In US, 100s are killed every week by homicide--for no crime, no reason—not at the hands of police, as US police brutality is a separate issue. The accessibility of guns leads to homicide; it's created problems for a country like U.S., everyone admits, fears, and is concerned about it.

- No one dares apply the clear solution to the promotion of guns and homicide in America. What's the solution? It's to make guns illegal.

- Gun companies are so powerful that House representatives and U.S. senators don't dare pass prohibition of guns, and U.S. president doesn't dare speak out, rise against it. This is corruption.

- Corruption means domination of a mafia greedy for power & wealth, in a way that the big political & military system like U.S. won't dare stand up for prohibition of guns—which is clearly positive. This is due to lack of spiritual ideals, leading western societies to this point.

- If we want the country, the nation, the human society to achieve bliss, the way to do it is to prefer religious and divine ideals to all other ideals. This should influence our economy. This should impact our scientific works.

- Syria is on the front lines today; it is our duty to defend the Syrian resistance. Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian president, appeared as a great example of resistance and a fighting image; he never hesitated and stood strong: this is extremely important for a nation.

- The Islamic ummah's duty, regarding divisions resulting from hegemonistic policies such as those stemming from Saudi monarchy, is firm resistance. We do not accept the Shi'ite brand of Islam supported by London or the Sunni form of Islam backed by America and Israel; because Islam is against kufr, cruelty, and hegemony.

- Some years ago, the Zionist regime claimed it would do this or that to Iran within 25 years of time. I said at that time, "They won't be around in 25 years!"

- We hope we all see the day you perform collective (jama'at) prayers in Quds. That day will not be far; it will come soon.

- From day one, all major world powers united and acted against us: the United States, USSR, NATO, Arab and regional reactionaries--they all united against Iran. But we survived and prospered. What is the meaning of this? It meant that domineering powers would not, necessarily, achieve their goals.

- The anti-Revolution front had been looking for an opportunity since the victory of the revolution—to incite them in some way or another against the Islamic Republic. It’s been the same way ever since.

- One of the principal efforts led by our enemies is that they try to create recession in factories and workers’ communities, on behalf of the workers. But our workers have always resisted through the years, they have turned down the enemies over the years; this is very valuable.
