It was a good game with good puzzles. Sadly there wasn't really an overarching story like the other games and the only thing that seemed like it'd be one (Sherl) was obviously kept for a sequel (which has already been announced).

The cases were a bit predictable tho, after getting one or two pieces (sometimes even 0) I immediately figured out every case tbh

Yeah agreed. It was good but the least best in the layton series (excluding the ace attorney cross over). They saved way too many things for a sequel.

The cutscenes are presented by slideshows of artwork. They're quite touching and are able to hold much emotion which helps with story progression
